Both approaches work; the right one depends on how often you exhibit, how much your space changes and how distinctive the stand needs to be.
Custom stands
Built for one space and one brand expression. They give the most freedom in shape and finish, and suit flagship shows where presence matters most. Expect longer lead times and a higher one-off cost.
Modular stands
Built from reusable system components with new graphics for each show. They adapt to different stand sizes and reduce cost over several events. Modern systems take seamless fabric and integrated lighting, so the system is rarely visible.
Cost per show, not cost per stand
A custom stand used once is expensive. A modular kit used at six shows a year is cheap per show, even with new graphics each time. Count the shows in your calendar before deciding.
A practical middle ground
Many exhibitors combine the two: a custom-built feature element, such as a reception or a product wall, with modular walls and storage that are reused through the year.
When custom is the only answer
Large island plots, double-deckers, unusual shapes, and shows where the stand itself is the brand statement.
