How to brief an exhibition stand contractor

Illustration for How to brief an exhibition stand contractor

A clear brief saves weeks. Contractors can only design for what they know, so the quality of the first concept depends on the quality of the information you send.

What to include

The event name, venue and dates; your stand number, dimensions and open sides; the organiser’s exhibitor manual; your objectives for the show; products to display; meeting and storage needs; brand guidelines; and a budget range.

Why a budget range helps

Without a range, designers have to guess, and you may receive a concept you like but cannot afford. A range lets the contractor put the money where it has most effect.

When to send it

As soon as your space is confirmed. Earlier briefs allow more design options, time for approvals and better production scheduling.
